It's not really about how you start but how you finish.
The hero's journey is not an easy one nor should it be portrayed as such because that would be a fairy tale and fairy tales are lies. I hope that after seeing what you read so far, you know that I am not perfect. Life has it's ugly bits but they are vital to appreciating the rainbows after the storm. What they don't try to emphasize is that this road is to meant for everyone. I couldn't force it any longer, almost 5 years in school and jumping every hurdle, I'd found one too high. Financial aid was keeping me from the goal of finishing SIUC with a degree along with my own self-sabotage Who defines our freedom and who decides who is deserving to have it? Among the faces of many on a college campus are stories untold and worthy to be heard.
